More details about UltraPixel-camera in HTC’s next top model, so far known as One M10, pops up and on paper it looks not so crazy out.
HTC has over the years tried it with many different recipes in the hunt after class-leading camera, but has not yet succeeded with it, where it has been Apple and Samsung, who have stood behind the best smartphone cameras.
Rumors have for some time pointed out that HTC with this year’s top model will make use of the so-called UltraPixel-teknoligien just like the predecessors, but now in with an even better camera sensor.
HTC has in its previous top models used the name UltraPixel about its cameras as another word for cameras with large pixels, which can consume large quantities of light and ultimately deliver better results in low light conditions.
The task was first tried solved with two camera sensors on 4 megapixel in One M8, but it gave problems with getting a sufficient detail. Therefore switched HTC back to a single sensor in One M9, but a high resolution of 20.7 megapixel meant very small pixels and bad pictures under low light conditions.
The talk has gone on, that HTC now will find a medium resolution of 12 megapixels and it now looks to be true. The well-regarded HTC-developer who regularly comes with very precise rumors regarding HTC,confirms this in a tweet.
Here he writes a wide range of information about which camera sensors, which will sit in the HTC One M10- which may come to be called something else. This year’s UltraPixel-camera will consist of a Sony IMX377sensor on the aforementioned 12 megapixels, and it is a sensor that is doing very well under dark conditions and at the same time is able to get sharp pictures in the House.
Sensor pixels has a size of 1.55 µm, where the bigger is considered better. In comparison, the camera on an iPhone 6s pixels that measure 1.22 µm, while the size is 1.12 µm in Samsung Galaxy S6.
