A few days ago The Document Foundation announced the availability of LibreOffice 4.0 in the final version, the latest revision of the suite Open Source Office that came with important developments and a wink users of Android: LibreOffice Impress Remote.
This small utility, which was available in pre-release versions of OpenOffice 4.0 is now one of the attractions of the suite, since it allows control presentations created through the Impress (OpenOffice PowerPoint) application using this simple tool for Android-based devices.
The first fundamental requirement is to have an installation of OpenOffice 4.0 or higher on our computer, something that we can get to downloading the suite, which is available for Windows, OS X and Linux on the official site of the project. In addition, our PC or laptop must have Bluetooth connectivity.
From there just download OpenOffice Impress Remote app from Google Play and match it with our installation of OpenOffice via Bluetooth. From there we can control the progress of the presentation from the Android device, and for example we can move to the previous or next slide with the volume of our smartphone or tablet buttons.
