Android Already Has More Free Apps to The IPhone

Today the Dutch consulting firm Distimo, specializing in app stores, has carried out a report showing the current situation of the sector. He has analyzed leading mobile applications stores, showing how many applications has every store and many of them are free, where we can see that the Android Market is the store with more free applications, beating the AppStore.

Currently the Android Market has 134.342 free apps front 121.845 applications that has the Apple AppStore. We can see that the majority of Android apps are free, 65% to be exact, whereas in iPhone only are 37%.

We also see that the Android Market has grown by 16% respect last month and as you can see in the following graphic is expected for June shorten the distances with its main competitor, the AppleStore, where it appears that it will surpass it late this summer.
