Futuremark has finally launched 3DMark for Android, its new benchmark that measured the graphics performance of our devices and which aspires to be in the multiplatform benchmark by reference to compare the performance of devices with Windows, Android and iOS.
Currently 3DMark available for Windows and Android. In the near future it will be too for Windows RT and iOS. On Android you can perform two tests (Ice Storm and Ice Storm Extreme) It includes several tests to measure the performance of the graphics card and processor of our device.
Test Ice Storm It is the basic designed for mobile and current tablets with OpenGL ES 2.0. Test Ice Storm Extreme It is intended for the more powerful devices in the market to make the tests in resolutions of high definition, high quality and best graphic effects textures. Once past the evidence we obtain a score that can be compared with the results obtained with other devices with a graph. From the application’s configuration, we can say if we perform only tests.
3DMark for Android is already itself free to download on Google Play for any device with Android 3.1 or higher and requires about 300 MB of available memory.
